After having attended nearly every Winter Springs City Commission meeting for the last 5 years, sitting right in the front row for more than 300 hours, Karen has become knowledgeable about Winter Springs City governance. Now she wants to put that knowledge into action, and is running for City Commission, Seat 3.

Karen Meyer has retired from a 27-year career at Texas Instruments. She previously spent 10 years as a Police Reserve Officer and 25 years as a volunteer instructor with the Department of Conservation. She has also volunteered with the American Red Cross Disaster Action Team.

Karen supports building new sewer plants, controlling creek and pond flooding, responsible management of growth and traffic, and having a strategic focus on long-term planning.

As your City Commissioner I will use my years of experience in business as well as law enforcement and community service to make sure Winter Springs continues to be the most safe and beautiful place to live in Central Florida.
